Types of printing
There are a number of different printing options for your photograph. You will see these when you click the “Buy” button and a range of sizes and printing types are displayed:
Glossy – Bright, vibrant colours and a shiny finish. The standard choice for the maximum impact. Printed on Kodak Supra Endura paper
Lustre – Offers the color saturation of glossy, with the fingerprint resistance of matte and without the glare associated with glossy. Printed on Kodak Supra Endura paper. Lustre works well with any photo; but is particularly suitable for black and white images.
Giclée Watercolor – Heavy, 310g paper with a subtle texture. This acid-free paper is 100% cotton fiber and is finished with a water-based protective spray. Due to the stunning colors and matte finish, your printed photos will take on the look of a masterpiece painting. Expensive, but spectacular!
Metallic – With a glossy finish and unique metallic appearance, these prints have extra visual interest and depth. They are printed on long-lasting Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper. This paper uses a proprietary combination of film laminate layers that produce striking, three-dimensional, lasting images on an ultra-bright background. The effect is sometimes described as “chrome on paper.” You’ll see extreme sharpness, brightness, and color saturation with an intense black density that increases its appeal. The proprietary laminate layers also increase the durability and tear resistance of the final print, increasing the opportunities for display applications.
