Easter Cup – Final Day
A substantial crowd turned out for the final day of the Easter Cup. First to take the field were the, still slightly cross, Hot Cross Buns and the, marginally holy, Holy Chocolate.
A close game; but William Roberts and Damian Marco did a fine job of feeding the ball to Paul Cheung who rarely swore and sometimes scored. The final tally was forgotten in the excitement; but the consensus was 5-3 in favour of Holy Chocolate.
Player of the match though was Khun Ploy, who showed fierce determination; even when up against a substantially overweight larger opponent such as William.
And so to the final, with a showdown between Khun Robin and Khun Susy being a fitting way to end the season.
The Jumpy Bunnies took an early lead and held on to it right to the end, although the Slippery Eggs (who came up with these names?) were never far behind thanks to the guidance and encouragement of K.V.
The final score was 5½ to 3, in favour of Khun Susy’s Jumpy Bunnies.
A great weekend and thanks as always to Khun Robin and Khun Susy for the special place that is Polo Escape. See you all again next season.
